Tell us about your past work experience:

“While I didn’t exactly take the straight path to Sendero, as it’s often said in Texas, ‘I got here as fast as I could.’ My career began as a road-warrior with Accenture. I was fortunate to travel to a number of intriguing locations- most notably, Goa, India. Eventually, I joined my long-time client, Encana Oil & Gas, a Canadian company, and developed the business analysis and project management center of excellence. When Encana closed the Dallas office, my silver lining was the perfect opportunity to engage my entrepreneurial skills. During this five-year precarious yet exciting saga, I worked with various small to mid-size organizations within oil & gas, healthcare, manufacturing, technology, and education. To date, my journey has, not haphazardly, followed a consistent pattern of strategic planning, custom application design, solution delivery, process design/optimization, Lean Operations, and program and project management.”

How did you first hear about Sendero?

“I like to think of it as a bit of serendipity – all paths lead to Sendero! I knew exactly what I wanted in a management consulting firm. One that focuses on the heart and soul of the organization; the central element from which an entity thrives – people – but I was at a loss. I was not able to find an organization that truly lives their values. The chain of events that led me to Sendero began when a mentor suggested I meet with, who I will refer to as mystery professional “N.” Mystery professional “N” then suggested I meet with, who I will refer to as mystery professional “S.” I knew my search was complete when I met with mystery professional “S.” Not far into our coffee meeting it became clear – Scott Miller (Sendero Partner) and his organization lived and breathed people-centered values. Search complete – I found my new home.”

What are you most looking forward to in this next year?

“I am most looking forward to building relationships with fellow Senderoans through delivery and community initiatives. There’s something very special created when a group of people, dedicated to a common purpose, come together, and make change happen. Somethings are difficult to describe. One of the most being, the power of human connectedness and the energy generated from helping others succeed albeit Sendero, our clients, or our community.”

What is a fun fact about you or a secret talent that no one knows about?

“Delivering great work in heels and a smart dress is second-nature, but running through nature is well, first-nature. The sound of the trees, smell of dirt, light pouring in from the treetops above, and balancing the twists and turns of the changing elevation—all while defeating the strategically placed obstacles engages all the senses. Plunging through the course I feel peaceful and powerful all at once. Obstacle course racing has forced me to face and conquer my self-set limits. I’ve learned that, like anything in life, with consistency and perseverance (and good running shoes), anything is possible.”
